Sport & Outdoor Adventure
Sport & Outdoor Adventure is a hugely diverse industry with employers working across a variety of disciplines, venues, weather conditions and client groups. Our apprenticeship programmes support learners to gain the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to deliver rewarding outdoor experiences to participants.
Sciences
Science is linked to a wide range of apprenticeships, across a variety of industries, such as healthcare and manufacturing.
Motor Vehicle
Our live industry-standard workshop provides learners on our Motor Vehicle apprenticeships with the training they need to work effectively in the sector, typical topics include; servicing, the replacement and repair of engines, chassis, electrical and transmission components, and health, safety and workshop maintenance.
Hospitality
At Kendal College, Hospitality is one of our core offerings, our extensive industry standard production and pastry kitchens, public restaurant and industry-leading lecturers have led to us becoming renowned locally, regionally and nationally for the quality of our teaching.
Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy & Complementary Therapies
Apprenticeships in Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy & Complementary Therapies are a respected way for new and current industry employees to gain and develop the practical skills and theoretical knowledge they need to work in the industry.
Customer Service
Apprenticeships in customer service are a great way for learners new, and currently working in, front facing roles to gain and develop the skills they need to provide a high-quality service to customers.
A-Level Applications
You can study A-Levels in 2 different ways at Kendal College - a full-time cluster, where you study 3 or 4 A-Levels as a package, or you can also study 1 or 2 A-Levels as part-time subjects.
Construction & the Built Environment
At Kendal College, we offer apprenticeships in construction and building services, including Plumbing & Heating, Gas Engineering, Carpentry & Joinery, Electrical Installation and Property Maintenance.

Engineering
The Engineering department of Kendal College offers a dedicated workshop, boasting industry-standard centre lathes, CNC systems, and 3D printers, and a range of computer facilities with the latest 2D/3D CAD software. The nine members of staff who run the department have over 140 years of combined industry experience, working in sectors such as military engineering, motorsports, nuclear energy, hydroelectric, manufacturing, and acoustics.

The Computing department of Kendal College offers dedicated rooms to digital design and software development, containing dual monitor, professionally specified workstations. The three members of staff who teach on the course have over 60 years of combined industry experience, working in sectors such as telecommunications, networking, hardware consultancy, games design, and graphics products and software.
