Our full-time courses offer a mixture of academic & practical learning, great if you have a general career area in mind, and many Level 3 courses are equivalent to 3 A-Levels!

Key Facts

  • Full-time (3-5 days) studied over one or two years
  • Study subjects related to a general career area, e.g. engineering, sport, film
  • Combine academic learning with practical experience
  • Level 1 to Level 3 qualifications
  • Qualifications can include UAL Arts Diplomas, BTECs & NVQs
  • Level 3, two-year diploma qualifications, are equivalent to 3 A-Levels
  • Progression to university, apprenticeships or employment

All full–time students undertake a Study Programme which consists of 540 hours of study per year and is tailored to suit you. Your personalised Study Programme will include:

  • A qualification
    We offer Level 1, 2 or 3 qualifications such as a Diploma, Extended Diploma, City & Guilds qualifications or other professional qualifications. Our Level 3, 2-year qualifications are equivalent to 3 A-Levels.
  • Non-qualification activity
    This includes tutorials, study skills, vocational skills, work placements, e-learning, trips, additional qualifications and support with job and university applications.

English & Maths

If you are aged 16-18 at the start of your programme and haven’t achieved a GCSE grade 9–4 (previously grade ‘C’ or above) in English or Maths then these classes will be compulsory. Our tutors will work with you to achieve better grades, which will help you progress to the next stage of your education or your chosen career.

In the UK, the gaming industry is worth over GBP5 billion to the economy, with more than 2000 firms, of all sizes, designing and developing games. In the past two years, more than 10000 new video games were released, and every single one of them had at least one designer - this job involves creating the looks, the rules and background story, and the critical structures to the game. As newer technologies are developed, more designers are needed to use these tools in bringing creativity to life on screen.
