Course Overview

Motion Graphics is a versatile skill in the creative industries, that can be applied to a range of sectors such as graphic design, advertising, animation, multimedia, games or film.



This course is designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of Motion Graphics, combining graphic design and audio-visuals to create a variety of media. You'll get hands-on with the industry standard software Adobe After Effects working on a variety of practical workshops, such as typography and logo animation to develop your skills.



The course is led by Owen Lodge, he has extensive experience of the industry to inform what you learn. You will be involved in a variety of practical workshops to build your knowledge and understanding of software and techniques, while also learning how to work through a creative brief, generate ideas and collaborate. You'll apply your skills to practical projects to build a creative portfolio of work.

Entry Requirements

This is an introductory course, so it is suitable for beginners. Experience of working with Adobe Creative Cloud applications like Photoshop or Illustrator is preferred but not essential.

After Your Course

This short course could help you build the confidence to progress onto a Graphic Design or Film Making course, like our part-time Graphic Design for beginners or Film Making courses.

Fees

£180.00

Course fees are per year. The current fee information is related to the 2018/19 academic year and is subject to change before the start of the course. Fees for 2019/20 will be updated in the Spring Term. There may also be additional costs associated with the course.

This course is not funded by the government and is full cost. As such, the course is the price stated for all students. If you are paying for your course, there may be the option to pay by instalments if the course fees are over £200 and the course duration is 15 weeks or more. Please speak to Student Services for more information on course fees.
