Course Overview
The course will be held at Mapdec Cycle Works on Westmorland Business Park in Kendal. Mapdec is an independent bicycle workshop and fitness studio. Their team are highly trained and have extensive technical knowledge on bike maintenance, making them ideally placed to guide you through this course. Teaching will take place in their new custom-built classroom, providing the space and resources necessary for you to complete the program successfully.
A one evening course - Changing pads, routine maintenance, fitting new hoses, full system bleeds, rotor fitting and truing, and troubleshooting. This course is mostly theory and demonstration to fit into one evening. Afterwards, you will be able to use the brake fluids and bleed kits at the Mapdec Cycle Works open workshop, or in your own workshop.

After Your Course
Following the completion of the course, you will have the confidence to maintain hydraulic brakes on your own. You may also be interested in further other bicycle maintenance courses being run by Mapdec Cycle Works.
Fees
£55.00
Course fees are per year for full-time & degree-level courses, and per course for part-time ones. The current full-time & degree-level fee information is related to the 2019/20 academic year and is subject to change before the start of the course. Fees for 2020/21 will be updated in the Spring Term. There may also be additional costs associated with the course.
This course is not funded by the government and is full cost. As such, the course is the price stated for all students. If you are paying for your course, there may be the option to pay by instalments if the course fees are over £200 and the course duration is 15 weeks or more. Please speak to Student Services for more information on course fees.
